Assumptions
- The proposed operating referendum tax rate of $0.3700 would continue the existing operating referendum rate of $0.3700 for eight (8) years. The existing operating referendum tax rate of $0.3700 was approved in May 2017 and, should the proposed operating referendum be continued, the estimated annual net tax rate impact in 2024 is $0.0000.
- Real property assessments are adjusted annually due to changes in market conditions. Taxpayer liability will change in relation to changes in parcel gross assessed value.
- Homestead parcels are assumed to have a homestead and supplemental homestead deductions. Temporary increases to these deductions are not included. Assumes no deductions for non-homestead properties.
- Calculations are based upon the proposed operating referendum tax rate of $0.3700 for 2024, which is equal to the 2023 certified operating referendum tax rate, per the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.
